Kanye West, also known as Ye, faces serious allegations from his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, who has accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her during a studio session co-hosted by West and Sean “Diddy” Combs. Pisciotta, who worked for West from 2021 to 2022, filed an amended complaint as part of her ongoing wrongful termination lawsuit against the rapper.
The allegations, detailed in a legal filing obtained by PEOPLE on October 12, 2024, claim that West committed “sexual battery” by serving Pisciotta a drink allegedly laced with an unknown drug. Pisciotta’s lawsuit also describes a toxic work environment where she was subjected to explicit texts, pornographic material, and lewd phone calls before being fired from her position.
The Studio Session Allegations
The amended complaint reveals that Pisciotta was invited to a studio session in Santa Monica, California, in 2021, where Kanye West and Sean “Diddy” Combs served as co-hosts. According to the lawsuit, attendees were pressured to drink if they wanted to remain at the session. Pisciotta claims her drink, served by a studio assistant at West’s request, was laced with an unknown substance.
After taking “a few small sips,” Pisciotta reportedly became disoriented and lost control of her body and speech. The complaint states that her memory of the night became hazy as she entered an “altered and heavily impaired state.” Pisciotta says she woke up the next day feeling physically ill, confused, and unable to recall the events that transpired after she consumed the drink.
West’s Disturbing Admission
Years after the alleged incident, Pisciotta began working for West in July 2021 as an assistant on his Yeezy women’s fashion line and his Donda album. It was during her employment that West allegedly brought up the studio session for the first time. According to the complaint, West told Pisciotta that they “did kind of hook up a little one time” at the Santa Monica studio.
When Pisciotta responded that she had no memory of the event, West reportedly laughed and remarked, “women love to say they don’t remember.” This conversation left Pisciotta feeling “overcome with immense shame, discomfort, and utter disgust,” as the complaint states she was unaware up until that point that she had been sexually assaulted.

Further Allegations of Misconduct
The amended complaint also outlines another disturbing incident that allegedly took place in July 2021 during an “album workshop” at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco. Pisciotta claims that West aggressively pounded on her hotel room door at 6 a.m., insisting he needed to use her shower because his was out of order. After forcing his way into her room, West allegedly dropped his towel and attempted to force himself on Pisciotta, ignoring her pleas to stop. He only left after briefly apologizing, according to the complaint.
Wrongful Termination and Toxic Work Environment
Pisciotta’s lawsuit against West initially began as a wrongful termination case, in which she claimed she was subjected to sexual harassment and an inappropriate work environment. According to her complaint, West sent her explicit messages and materials and fired her from her position as Chief of Staff at his companies just a month after promoting her in September 2022. Pisciotta’s filing claims she “could not stomach the fact that she worked for the man who had sexually assaulted her against her will while she was drugged, who then successfully lured her back into his orbit by way of a job opportunity to sexually assault her all over again.”
West’s Legal Team Responds
A legal representative for Kanye West has previously denied Pisciotta’s allegations and stated that “Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta.” However, West’s team has not yet commented on the new allegations made in the amended complaint filed on October 8, 2024, in Los Angeles County Court.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is named in the complaint as the co-host of the studio session, has not been accused of any wrongdoing in this case. It’s worth noting that Combs is currently in jail awaiting trial for separate charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.
Other Legal Troubles Facing Kanye West
These allegations are the latest in a series of legal battles for Kanye West. In April 2024, a former employee filed a lawsuit accusing West of severe discrimination and harassment while working for Yeezy and his Donda Academy. Additionally, another lawsuit was filed by a former staffer this week, alleging emotional distress, retaliation, and labor code violations.
Moving Forward with the Case
As Pisciotta’s case unfolds, it adds to the mounting legal challenges facing Kanye West. The allegations paint a troubling picture of a hostile and inappropriate work environment, along with serious accusations of drugging and sexual assault. Pisciotta is seeking damages for the emotional and physical harm she claims to have suffered while working for the rapper.
